I ALREADY KNEW THAT!

Today we have so much information out there that it’s scary! In addition to traditional books, we know have all things technology, allowing anyone to publish information in various formats via the Internet. Consider the following:

  • You don’t even have to go to the store to get your book, you can get it in seconds (via Kindle, iPad; you name it)
  • There are over 126 million blogs posted each year (via BlogPulse)….Whew!
  • People don’t go to the library card catalogue anymore for a reference, they go to Google and Wikipedia

Information sharing is in over-drive. Just about anything is right at our fingertips. Good stuff and bad stuff.

So with all this info, we have to be careful about too much information and not enough application.

Learning is about taking information and creating change.

You can know everything in the world and if you hold it in, if you don’t let it impact you enough to action, well then you may just be a “know-it-all”.

Come on, we all know a K-I-A. Right? It’s someone who, no matter what the subject, they “already knew it!” You can’t tell ‘em anything! (Think three year old who you’ve just told something that they already knew…they let you know they know!)

Funny thing is, since they know everything already, they don’t have anything to learn. And when you stop learning, well you stop growing. And how many of you know when you stop growing….ummm, you’re dead?

So here’s to taking all that knowledge and putting it into play. Turn some of that research into action and do something!
