Lost

As I embark on another journey with God, I am struck yet again by the magnitude and depth of the mind and heart of our Creator. I am impressed by His impact on my life, on other’s lives.

Although I don’t fully understand, as I age/grow, I realize that God continues to teach us new and beautiful things through a multitude of avenues. Life experiences, whether viewed as good or bad are always used by God, for good. That’s tough to get a grip on.

The journey that is life, is one marked by boundless choices, or though it seems. There are turns we can make here and there, we can stop or go faster; you understand.

To be certain though, choices, although we prefer to conceive of unlimited options and preferences, are all framed within the perfect will (plan) of our Father God.

This week I have been challenged by the question of “lostness.”

  • What does it mean to be spiritually lost?
  • How do we know when we are?
  • What can we do if we know we are lost?
  • Can there be more than one way to lose it?
  • What is “it”?

Sometimes what we think we know is dangerous. Is deadly.

God help us to learn. Help us to grow. Help us to search You for answers. Help us to stay humble and to have a heart of repentance for the guaranteed good things that you have in store.

By the grace and mercy of God, we will attempt to answer these questions of lostness at Victory (www.victorywired.com) this weekend.

What does it mean to you to be spiritually lost?

For me, someone can be lost and not even know it. Take the Pharisees. They felt like everyone else was lost because everyone else didn't fit their mold of what a saved person should be like - but Jesus plainly taught that they were the ones who were lost.

Others can make the decision to be lost, and later change their mind... (when we come to our senses, humble ourselves, confess our wrong, The Lord is waiting and watching - longing for our return, and when we do, He will come running... Luke 15:17-20) "this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and [now] is found." Luke 15:32

No doubt Paul! That's the deadliest form of "lostness". Undiagnosed that is.

Thanks for sharing your comments! Hope all is well Bro.
